This week we celebrate LOVE!  (And of course CHOCOLATE!)  Love is everywhere.  Too often Valentines are limited to ONE special one.  And if you don’t have that ONE…you may feel lonely, and drown yourself in chocolate all alone. 

Yet Love is one of life’s greatest adventures. It’s magic that makes the world brighter, lifts us higher, and connects us in ways words can barely describe.  The wild thing is that Love is Everywhere, when you are open to giving and receiving it.  Remember…Love Makes the World Go Round?  OK, someone warped that into Money Makes the World Go Round.  We’ll save that conversation for another day. 

Often, I hear people complain that they must sacrifice themselves in the name of love.  Dimming their light so they don’t outshine others.  Let’s get real.   Love, real true love, NEVER asks for that. 

Authentic love—love that grows and thrives—wants all of you.  It falls for your quirks, your brilliance, and even your messy, imperfect parts. 

Now you wonder – how do imperfect people who stumble over other’s feelings like rock climbers on a gravel hill, ever manage to come together? 

Here’s the trick.  Start by loving yourself enough to appreciate and celebrate your individuality.  From that place – look for and celebrate the individuality of another.  . Boundaries aren’t barriers—they’re bridges that help love h in the right direction. They remind you (and others) where you end and they begin.

Without boundaries, love can get murky. You start saying yes when you mean no. You give until you’re empty. You forget your needs matter just as much as anyone else’s. when you set those healthy boundaries, something magical happens. You’re free to love fully, with no resentment or hidden costs.

Stay Bright. Stay You.

Here’s the deal: The right people will love you at full wattage. You don’t need to dim your light for anyone. Love should never ask you to play small or pretend to be something you’re not. If it does, it’s not love—it’s a request for control.

Stay bright. Keep your edges. Speak your truth, and let the people who are meant to be in your life love you for exactly who you are. When you show up as the fullest version of yourself, you create space for a love that’s not just deep but also expansive, joyful, and freeing.

So, love with your whole heart, but remember to bring yourself along for the ride. Don’t shrink, don’t disappear, and don’t forget to keep your own dreams alive. You are worthy of a love that honors all of you—your passions, your desires, your voice, and your light.

You can love deeply and fiercely and authentically Love isn’t about blending into someone else’s life—it’s about building something new together while staying rooted in who you are.
